Alfred F Longtin, ChFC, Founder

Mr. Longtin was raised in a middle class, farming family, the youngest of nine siblings. His father started a grain-hauling business and invested in farmland, but died when Al was eighteen years of age. His mother passed away six months later of cancer. Unmarried and still living at home, he left home to join the U.S. Navy.

After 4 years of service, Mr. Longtin returned to attend Eastern Illinois University where he graduated with honors, excelling in Business and Finance. After graduating, he worked at the Chicago Board of Trade as a bond trader. He was hired by a renowned estate planning firm in 1987, quickly becoming one of the firm’s top representatives.

Mr. Longtin founded ab Resources, Inc., in 1992. He is a competitive national road racer in his spare time, enjoys running, cycling, and golf, and is very active in his local church.
