Demetrius J. Karos, Attorney at Law

Demetrius J. Karos is in the private practice of Law in Frankfort, IL where he focuses his practice on federal and state tax matters and works with individuals and small businesses. The practice includes tax compliance, tax disputes and controversy, tax research and planning, estate planning, wills and trusts, trust and probate administration, corporate matters and choice of entity.

Mr. Karos has represented many taxpayers in audits, appeals and litigation before the Internal Revenue Service and before more than 20 states. He serves on foundations and associations in has capacity as an advisor and legal counsel. Mr. Karos also serves as Treasurer for the Village of Frankfort as well as teaching tax and business law classes at Governors State University in University Park, IL.

Mr. Karos received his B.S. in accounting from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. He received his M.S.T. (Taxation) from DePaul University in Chicago, IL. He received his J.D. degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, IL. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
